Independent testing and validation centre

VDL-ETS is an independent testing and validation centre for the automotive and high-tech industry, with more than 40 years of experience in mechanical testing. We have built a strong reputation and are certified to ISO 9000, ISO 14000 and TISAX Level 3. VDL ETS has the largest independent hydraulic lab and the largest independent battery lab in the Benelux.

We have 46 hydraulic actuators, a flexible test bench, salt and mud spray facilities, three climate chambers and dedicated test benches for shock and break-in tests.

We also provide design, production and commissioning of test facilities. In short, VDL-ETS offers a wide range of testing and support to validate and improve products.

Hydraulic Laboratory

We conduct fatigue and durability tests in different environments. Our laboratory has more than 50 actuators with a total power of 600 kW

Battery Testing Lab

In our Battery Testing Laboratory, we provide electric and mechanical testing for battery cells, modules and packs regarding efficiency and effectiveness, aging tests as well as safety and reliability tests. We support as well with corrosion, vibration and environmental testing.

Vibration testing

We use electromechanical shakers with a capacity of up to 40 kN or hydraulic shakers with a capacity of up to 100 kN to perform all kinds of vibration tests. This according to all common protocols and standards such as, for example, ISO 16750, UN 38.3, R100, LV123/124, ISO 61010 or tailored tests.

Durability testing

We measure functionality, safety and lifespan of products under realistic conditions. Our customised test rigs simulate real loads.

Validation Suspension Systems

We help test modern suspension systems, such as air springs and composite springs. Here, we carry out electrical and mechanical tests on battery cells, modules and packs. This includes efficiency and safety tests, as well as corrosion and vibration studies. Electrical tests, Mechanical, environmental tests .

Air suspension modules

We offer comprehensive testing for air suspension modules, including durability tests, stiffness measurements and helium leak tests.
